Legal Services For Business
Collections and Creditor’s Rights
We offer a variety of collection methods to help you obtain payment of delinquent accounts and services to represent you in the event a debtor files for bankruptcy. We can help you evaluate your case, including a determination of what you are entitled to under the law, whether or not you will be able to prove that the debtor owes you the entire amount you are seeking, and what the best method of recovery may be. There are a number of methods to collect on accounts before you file a lawsuit. In some cases, a debt may be difficult to prove in court, and we have ways to solidify your rights before we take your case to court.
If your case does go to court, we will do everything within our power to bring the case to a quick resolution. Further, we will always attempt to recover all fees, including attorney’s fees and court costs from the debtor.
Commercial Litigation
When conflicts arise between your business and another company, whether your business is the plaintiff or the defendant, it is important that you have strong legal advocacy in the courtroom. An incorporated entity must be represented by an attorney. The entity cannot “represent itself” by sending a representative or an owner.
Common commercial litigation lawsuits include:
Breach of contract or warranty
Tortuous interference with contract
Landlord/Tenant issues
Insurance claims
Trade-secret misappropriation
Dram-shop and premises liability
Fraud
Debt collection violations
Consumer complaints filed under the Deceptive Trade Practices Act and other various consumer protection statutes.
